Well, they called me back for a second interview after a month of silence. I had all but lost hope in getting a job there.
Long story short, they offered me a job in Molecular Genetics and I accepted. I train from November 29-December 1 and then I will be a full time employee.

Wonderful news! Will you be wearing scrubs, a lab coat, what? Please let us know about your first day!
On the first two days I'll be wearing business-casual because I will be an employee of HR during that time. But once I start working in the lab it'll be business-casual plus a lab coat. :)
